Cameron Kasky is an American activist, author, and advocate for gun control and youth engagement in political and social issues. He gained prominence as one of the co-founders of the “March for Our Lives” movement, which emerged in the aftermath of the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Kasky’s life was forever changed by the tragic events at his high school. In response, he joined forces with fellow students to organize one of the largest youth-led demonstrations in U.S. history, demanding stricter gun control laws. Kasky has since continued his advocacy for gun safety and broader social issues, using his platform to inspire young people to get involved in politics and activism. He has also written a book, “Glimmer of Hope,” chronicling the Parkland survivors’ journey toward change.
